Bhubaneswar, July 14: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India 's largest producer of ferro alloys, has secured the second Runner Up position in the Minerals & Metals Sector under Large Exporters' Category of the D&B–ECGC Indian Exporters' Excellence Awards which were announced recently in Mumbai.
Dun & Bradstreet India (D&B India) is a leading provider of global business information and knowledge while the Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India Ltd (ECGC) is an organisation established by the Government of India to strengthen the export promotion drive by covering the risk of exporting on credit.
The D&B–ECGC Indian Exporters' Excellence Awards were conceptualised keeping in mind the growing contribution of exports to the emerging Indian economy. The five parameters considered in ranking companies included total export revenue, growth of export revenue, export revenue contribution to total turnover, net profit and growth in turnover.
IMFA is India 's largest fully integrated producer of ferro alloys with 157 MVA installed furnace capacity (including a 27 MVA furnace put up by an associate company which operates under a conversion contract with IMFA) backed up by a 108 MW captive power plant and chrome ore mines.
