Bhubaneswar, May 1: Continuing with their investigation into the sensational murder of Judo coach Biranchi Das, Orissa police questioned controversial Oriya video album actor Leslie Tripathy on Thursday.

Leslie, the music video actor who has been in news in the wake of the murder of Das on April 13, was primarily questioned for nearly two hours about the controversy involving her and gangster Raja Acharya, prime suspect in the murder, sources said.

The police also questioned Leslie's father Shailendra Triptahy, and Jubilee Sundaray, a studio owner, with

regard to the developments that preceded the murder of the Das.

Leslie had first hogged the limelight when she sought police help to protect herself from the gangster who had reportedly developed infatuation for her.

While Leslie was reportedly questioned about her association with the gangster and the Judo coach, her father was quizzed about his seeking the help of senior bureaucrat Priyabrata Patnaik to put an end to the controversy involving Leslie and the gangster.

Patnaik, who was transferred as officer without duty a day after he was questioned in connection with the case, had told the police that Leslie's father had approached him for help in this regard.

Patnaik had said that he met the gangster at the Orissa Judo Association premises on March 16 in the city in the presence of the deceased coach.

Meanwhile, the gangster continued to remain elusive as all the efforts of the police to nab him had not bore fruits so far.
