Odisha announces another Biju programme

Bhubaneswar, June 18: After Biju Krushak Vikas Yojana, Biju KBK Yojana and Biju Gramjyoti Yojana, it is time for Biju Seva Kendras in Odisha.

Biju Seva Kendras, yet another welfare scheme of Naveen Patnaik Government to be named after the late Biju Patnaik, will ensure availability of various public services at the gram panchayat level in the state.

All these common service centres will have internet connectivity to provide services such as details about various government schemes, land records, certificates and payment of various government bills.

The centres would also extend various other services including internet surfing, ticketing and examination results

Three memoranda of agreements for establishment of 8558 Biju Seva Kendras or common service centres were signed by the state government with three private companies here on Tuesday.

The companies with which the agreements were signed in the presence of State IT Minister Surjya Narayan Patro are SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited, CMS Computers Limited and Zoom Developers Private Limited.

The common service centres will be set up by the three companies within six months on build, own and operate basis.
