Puri(Odisha), July 11: Lakhs of devotees braved heavy rains on Friday afternoon to have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra at Gundicha temple as the administration gave final touch to the arrangements for the Bahuda Yatra of the deities on Saturday.

Large number of devotees thronged the temple for the darshan of the deities during the Sandhya darshan in the evening. The public darshan was closed at 8 pm.

The Bahuda Yatra (return car festival) would begin on Saturday morning when the deities will return to the main temple.

The administration has taken all possible measures to ensure timely pulling of the chariots.

Adequate security arrangements have been made to manage the crowd in the wake of the stampede during the Rath Yatra on July 4 when six persons were killed.

The Sunavesh ceremony will be observed Sunday.
