Six Odisha districts get new Collectors

Bhubaneswar, July 19: Odisha government on Saturday appointed new Collectors in as many as six districts by ordering transfer of several officers of the Indian Administrative Service and Odisha Administrative Service.

The districts that would now have new Collectors are Puri, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Nuapada, Bargarh and Cuttack.

According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, Rashmi Ranjan Patnaik, at present as District Collector of Puri, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.

Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, District Collector of Rayagada (now undergoing mid-career training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie), has been appointed as District Collector of Puri.

Krishna Gopal Mohapatra, at present Additional Secretary to Government, Works Department, has been transferred and posted as District Collector of Rayagada in place of Sarma.

Harihar Panigrahi, at present District Collector of Bargarh, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to Government, Forest & Environment Department in place of Bishnu Prasad Panda.

Suresh Prasad Padhi, at present Director, Housing and ex-officio Additional Secretary to Government, H & UD Department, has been transferred and posted as District Collector of Bargarh.

Panda has been transferred and posted as District Collector of Nuapada in place of Mrinalini Darswal.

Darswal has been appointed as District Collector of Dhenkanal replacing Jamil Ahmed Khan who has been transferred from the post.

Besides, Kishore Kumar Mohanty, at present Director, Text Book Production & Marketing, Bhubaneswar, has been transferred and posted as District Collector of Cuttack in place of Sujata R. Karthikeyan, who is now undergoing mid-career training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.
